VIRTUAL/REMOTE PARALEGAL
The following highlights the experience and skills that will enable me to contribute to your law firm or company:
*    Fifteen plus years in-house experience;
*    Undergraduate degree from Ithaca College;
*    Paralegal Degree from The American Institute;
*  Worked in various areas of the law including, but not limited to, Personal Injury including Medical Malpractice, Product Liability, Premises Liability, Wrongful Death, and Vehicle/Trucking Accidents;
*  Specialties: Medical Records Review, Medical research, Billing Cost Charts, Product Research, Discovery Questions/Responses; Witness Interviews, and Investigations; and
*    Proficient in a number of computer programs/internet programs used for research, including Microsoft Word, Lexis, Summation, Needles, Time Matters, Visio and various medical databases.

Many attorneys have different versions of what using a Virtual/Remote Paralegal entails.  There are many ways a freelance/contract paralegal can be utilized.  And even though your firm has an outstanding paralegal staff, there are times when some outside assistance may be required. Some examples of Virtual/Remote tasks could include:

HIRING PER PROJECT
Examples of this would include the following:

    (a)    You may have a box of medical records that have come in from a client that need to be bates stamped, organized and summarized and that may need to be logged in to summation;

    (b)   You may have five boxes of documents delivered with discovery responses that need to be bates stamped, organized, indexed and logged into summation;

   (c)   You may have a case that requires multiple witnesses to be interviewed; and

     (d)   You may have depositions that need to be summarized.

HIRING FOR A SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD

Examples of this would include the following:

    (a)    You may have a trial coming up and need assistance for a few weeks prior to trial and during trial;

   (b)    Your assistant may be on maternity leave for three months, vacation for a week or sick for a couple of days and you need assistance to complete work while he/she is out of the office; or

   (c)   You may have just received a case that involves a voluminous amount of  documents that are continually being delivered to your office and you need assistance every few days to organize and index them.

The above-listed scenarios are just a few examples of the services that I can provide for your law firm/company.  There are no specific time limits for my services.  If you need assistance for an hour, I can be available.  If you need assistance for six months, I can be available.

Further, the benefits of hiring a virtual/remote paralegal include: (1) No money put forth for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance and retirement plans; and (2) No money put forth for Worker’s Compensation, overtime pay and administration costs.  You only hire when assistance is needed and you only pay for hours worked.

Lastly, in dealing with confidentiality concerns, please note that I would require a conflict check on any work that I would perform as well as non-disclosure agreement/confidentiality agreement signed by me that would assure your law firm/company that any information that I should come across during my employment with you would be held in complete confidence.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my site. I would appreciate the opportunity to interview with your firm and to answer any questions that you may have regarding such a position.
